The saddle has many new and revolutionary features, After presenting the saddle at Spoga Horse I thought it timely to talk you through some of the lesser known features.
So you found your way to my website and you find yourself trying to learn more about this saddle! Well, look no further. Here I will take you through 5 key redeeming characteristics of the Rev saddle. Many of which are less obvious and lesser known. In the end you should better understand how it just might be better for you and your horse! Thanks to Ina of the Instagram account @IPSM_ for recording the video footage. Ina is featured with me in the picture. And hey, if you don't like reading just 'cut to the chase' and click on the five short videos below.
Feature benefit 1. A cut back tree
The saddle tree provides incredible relief for the horses shoulder, but how so? Watch here.
The saddle tree is the source of all things great with this innovation. Originally designed back in 2005, the tree has now been used on horses from amateur to elite level competition across the world.
Feature benefit 2. The saddle relieves pressure on the shoulder
When people first ride in the saddle, one of the most notable comments they make is, 'my horse feels much freer in front'.
The saddles tree offers a long contact surface as part of the tree which helps the riders weight to be better distributed down through panels. People often point out that it is similar to an old military saddle, or a western saddle, which it is but it is different in so far as it also offers a beneficial English type seat for the rider. The unique tree design allows the riders weight to be distributed along the horses back and off the horses shoulder, and alleviating point load on the shoulder. More over, the design shortens the head of the tree, and cuts it back off the shoulder. This reduces the need for adjustment between horses and allows it to fit a wider range of horses without adjustment. Check out the video below.
Feature benefit 3. A double stirrup bar and three point girthing
The saddle anchors securely to the horse through a 3 point girthing arrangement. Further to this, the saddles intrinsic flexibility allows it to warp and hug the horse. And as the saddle is of a modular structure, notably offering and interchangeable saddle flap system, we also offers a 2 point stirrup bar, ensuring a choice of leg position to reflect the needs of both dressage and jump riders.
Feature benefit 4. Shock absorbing and flexible
One of my favourite features in the saddle is a sort of oxymoron, its stiff yet flexible, Stiff enough to provide the rider with a balanced seat and yet totally flexible to deform under extreme pressure. Yes, these qualities can be mutually beneficial!
Feature benefit 5. Quality pressure distribution
Finally, number five out of five. It offers noticeable pressure distribution.
So that about covers it. All that's left to do is get one for yourself :). Thanks for reading.
